Syberia - The World Before - Leni's Automaton Puzzle
The biggest mechanical part of the game! Like James from Syberia, it's an automaton nurse.
God knows it was complicated to design and make all these little mechanisms fit together. But I'm working with a very talented and patient game designer, so we finally got it right.
This is my last concept art project on the production of the game. Unfortunately, we had to take some liberties in a hurry, which Benoit could not validate in his lifetime.
It's a nice automaton though. It closes the Syberia TWB chapter but under the circumstances, I can't fully enjoy it.
If one day you see Benoit's original drawing, don't hesitate to tell me if you would have liked to see it retranscribed as is. I certainly would.
I just hope that it will bring full satisfaction to all the automaton lovers who will want to manipulate it :)
Some parts would have deserved to spend a little more time on it, it's the case of the bow tie when I see it again. But time is an immutable value!
I really like the handle of this key, I took the shape I had chosen for the key that opens the technical room with Dana Roze in 1937.
